The CA/T Magic Show

The Central Artery Tunnel (CA/T) video footage and documents show more than anchor bolt problems in Bostons Big Dig concrete. Contaminated concrete from recycled excavate was used in 3,800 million cubic yards of concrete construction. The CA/T documents should be examined for the chemical properties of the recycled aggregate soil and the concrete tested for corrosion and expansion contaminants.

Bostons Big Dig or Bostons Big Mistake?

Who decided that the best way to ventilate a tunnel ceiling was to suspend the basement floor over our heads? A 3-ton concrete section of the Central Artery Tunnel connector ceiling crashed onto Milena Del Valle's car while she and her husband were traveling to Logan Airport on Monday night. By Friday we learned that over 300 problem areas exist with connector bolts that suspend the concrete slabs overhead. The CAT cost taxpayers over 14.6 billion dollars by 2006. Shoddy work for such a hefty pricetag. Who benefited from the largest public works program that has commuters fleeing for safety?

An Insistent Charge

This is written for content, not format. It's a rambling, raving, scathing 600 words of unrevised drabble. It cites the folly of the Government, the Media, and the citizens themselves. It's a call to arms, to wake up and care before its too late. Harse words not for the timid, and there's no remorse or second thoughts by the author.

MOVING TO CANADA IS A JOKE...The Economic Military and Socio-Political Integration of North America

Eh Nothing against the Canadiansunless you consider them (which they are) part and parcel of the militarys NorthCom (USA Canada and Mexico military cooperationbig time); or if you consider them a leading light in NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreementwhich they are); and socially where they tend to be far more progressive (and influential) than the lower 48 . . . in other words Canadas complicity is as rife as that of the USA in the formation of the North American Federated Union (NAFU which rhymes with SNAFU: Situation Normal All Fouled Up). Find out what the Three Amigos put together down in Texas. Now that the Pledge of Alliance is considered a prayer . . . we can change it to say: . . . and to the Republic for which it STOOD!

WHAT'S RIGHT ABOUT NEBRASKA ...How the Dems. Lost the Heartland of American Populism

I recently wrote an article entitled: Howard Deans Big Fat Mouth. But before I could refresh my screen he exchanged feet (i.e. thats the only time he opens his mouth) and claimed victory for the Dems. in the special Ohio congressional race. Victory Yep favored to lose by 4 TDs we lost by a field goalthence we utterly embarrassed the h-e-double-toothpicks out of the winners and thusly was the empiric victory declared! This quackery of Democratic interpolation bespeaks of Britains demise at Dunkirk. Alas! We live to fight another day. Not bad but come on Dean what have you done for me latelyperhaps you need to reread a resurrected piece of literature to refresh your screen as well Guess again maybe our strategy isnt working your interpretations sure arent!

These career politicians day after day demonstrate that they have absolutely no idea on how to run a business and the U.S. Government is similar to a major publically held corporation.

Radical Terrorism" (a.k.a. Islamic Terrorism) is breaking out all over the globe. Iran's surge into fundamentalism's nuclear club is one intolerable thought-Osama's dirty-little suit case bombs coming across the USA-Mexican border is another! All this while Bolton ascends to the UN, CAFTA is passed by the Congress, and the Unions self-destruct . . . not bad for a week's worth of work . . . once again, theology plays a big part in all this.

The Elephant Roared and Brought Forth a Turd: A Case Against Democratizing the Middle East

It appears the politically obvious culturally detestable and morally repugnant has taken place: We've awakened the beast of Radical Islam to wit a Crusade! Coming to terms with the theological implications of this conflict has not been an easy proposal--but now we're committed (after endless bombings throughout the planet) the race to democratize the Middle East is all the more concentrated and unavoidable. Notwithstanding our penchant for getting into someone's face it behooves us to probe for now the parameters of the eschatology permeating the debate: To be or not to be democratized.

This article was written by one of German ancestry whose forebears on his mother's side can be traced to Martin Luther himself; thence, the incessant interest in the rise of Adolf Hitler and, in particular (through years of research) the under girding support he derived in his ascendancy from the Christian religion in the heart of Europe. How could this possibly happen...

Does Clean Mean Extreme Green?

Growing up in the suburbs of New York City in the 1960s was a pleasurable experience. Venturing into New York City, especially Manhattan, was not. The smell of car, truck and bus exhaust combined with a number of other foul vapors to produce a pollution mix that almost seemed toxic. If you were used to it, the city air was probably something that you were able to tolerate. However, to those who spent more time out of the city then in it, the air was filthy and made you sick.

Foreign policies... guidance for a superpower

Times are different now than during the Cold War or the perilous times that preceded it. So different in fact that the next few decades will offer mankind golden opportunities. Since recorded history, never have the conditions been so perfect, the best chance ever to improve the lot of civilization as a whole....

Since recorded history the lust for power has caused more death and destruction on this planet than for any other reason. It may be responsible for as much as 95% of it. This resulted in more than 40 million people killed and inconceivable amounts of collateral damage. Countries have been virtually decimated from wars, their cities left smoldering in total ruin and countless millions more were affected in terrible ways, the loss of loved ones, being wounded or crippled for life, many were left homeless and starving, others raped, tortured and imprisoned... all this to sate the desires of few dozen men....

Economic injustices... the greatest threat to world stability

There are countless issues worthy of attention today, across the board, from one corner of the globe to the next. For civilization, to achieve and then maintain justice, security and order, all would be important of course, and within these, some issues seem to stand out as critical, begging priority. Overall human rights and equal rights would top the list, then you would have the world economy and down the list would be globalization concerns such as sovereignty, jurisdictional matters and associated trade issues. Since I'm already addressing human rights, equal rights and globalization in my webpage Battle Stations, it seems appropriate the world economy should be dealt with next.

The plight of whistleblowers - those employees who sound the alarm about anything from dangerous conditions in the workplace to missed or ignored intelligence regarding our nation's security - is a story that seems to grow stronger and with more frequency every day. My guess is that those stories have always been there; I suspect I am just paying closer attention to them now....
